This position may have typical shop/office hours but is expected to have the flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance situations at any time. It is more of a project-based role than a clock-watcher position. The production requires your expertise, eagerness to learn, do, and flexibility.
Responsibilities & Essential Duties:
You will be responsible for the integrity of all industrial machinery on the premises for American Tripoli, as well as the general upkeep of the facility This may include but is not limited to:
- Forklifts
- Rock mills
- General facilities
- most significantly manufacturing machinery
- You should be versed and competent in general mechanical knowledge, reading and interpreting electrical diagrams
- Able to follow instructions to install
- Disassemble and troubleshoot machines along with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with the other company associates.
Training will be provided to instruct this individual on the working operations of the company’s specific machines, but it is expected that the individual will bring to the table working knowledge of machines both electrically and mechanically. Basic computer software understanding is a plus.
The maintenance of said machines will include developing, following, and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules, spearheading the maintenance of machines in unplanned situations with the purpose of getting the line up a running in a timely manner, as well as aiding in the coordination, installation, and testing of machine modifications and/or new machines.
In addition to the above, this individual will work with the Mill Plant Manager to obtain parts needed for repairs, preventative maintenance, and other shop supplies. The inventory and overall organization of the shop parts room will be the responsibility of the Millwright Mechanic.
